Support our mission
Our greatest strength is that we aren't just working in Africa; we are of Africa.
At Lawyers for Animal Protection in Africa (LAPA), our greatest strength is that we aren’t just working in Africa; we are of Africa. Every contribution and your support fuels LAPA’s on-the-ground work to protect endangered species, safeguard habitats, and legally advocate for ALL animals across the continent.
Why your gift matters
When you support LAPA, your donation reaches the local communities we work hand in hand with. Here is how your gift creates a ripple effect.
Local Context
We understand the unique legal and cultural landscapes of the communities we serve, allowing for more effective and sustainable advocacy.
Direct Impact
Your gift reaches the front lines of wildlife protection and community coexistence.
Community Trust
We live and work within these communities, building the trust necessary to address the root causes of human-wildlife conflict — ensuring that both people and animals thrive together.
How to donate
Your donation is processed through our fiscal sponsor, the Alliance for Human-Animal Coexistence (AHAC), ensuring your gift is tax-deductible while providing LAPA with the resources to lead from the ground up.
Secure and tax-deductible donations, processed at humananimalcoexistence.org.
Note to donors
To ensure your support reaches our local initiatives directly, please add a note for “LAPA – Lawyers for Animal Protection in Africa” on the donation page.
If you have an interest in a specific area of our work, please contact Judy Muriithi at judymuriithi@lapa.africa.
Legacy giving
Leave a gift in your will
A gift in your will costs nothing in your lifetime and can fund years of casework after it. Legacies are how long-running litigation gets the patience it needs — the cases that take a decade are the ones that change a statute.
You can leave a fixed sum, a percentage of your estate, or a specific asset. Your solicitor will need our full registered name and registration details, which we will send you on request.
We are not able to advise on the drafting of your will or on the tax treatment of a gift. Please speak to your own solicitor or financial adviser, who can make sure your wishes are recorded correctly.
